A: How was your date with Ellen?
B: She was completely churlish. She walked ahead of me down the street and didn’t wait for me to catch up and she finished eating before me at dinner and started reading at the table!
A: 你和Ellen的約會怎么樣?
B: 她簡直就是個土老冒。在街上她一直走在我前面，我都跟不上。吃飯時她比我先吃完，然后居然在飯桌上看起書來了!

A: I’m never going to another sporting event in New York.
B: Why not?
A: Because all the fans are loudmouthed. They all yell at the players and are rude to each other.

ahead of: 在……前面。
catch up: 追上，趕上。

yell at sb.: 向某人大吼大叫。

A: My little one always acts up when she is hungry.
B: What do you mean?
A: She started to cry and pulls a temper tantrum which is extremely embarrassing to me.
A: 我家小女兒一餓就鬧。
B: 你這話是什么意思?
A: 她一餓就又是哭又是發(fā)脾氣，弄得我很尷尬。

temper: 脾氣。
tantrum: 發(fā)脾氣。
pull a tantrum: 大發(fā)脾氣。pull也可以用have或throw替換。
